Let's say you're interviewing for a junior engineer position at MS

sitting in a boardroom or on video call in 2020.

You should look at the code that i've written 

-> 제가 작성한 코드를 살펴 보세요.

 

You know, I'm kind of crazy 

-> 저는 정말 미쳐 있거든요.

 

I write software programs way beyond any classes that i've taken and think i've gotten better over time.

-> 지금껏 수강했던 모든 컴공 과목 수준을 넘는 SW를 개발했고 시간이 흘러 지금은 실력이 더 나아진 것 같습니다. 

 

so take a look at how ambitious i've been there.

I do think i can work well with people.

-> 다른 분들과의 협업도 전혀 문제될 게 없습니다. 

 

I might criticize their code a little harshly

but overall. I like to be on a team.

-> 전반적으로 저는 팀에 속해 있는 것이 좋고

 

I like ambitious goals

-> 야심 찬 목표를 가지는 것을 좋아합니다. 

 

I like thinking through how we can anticipate the future.

Software is cool and i want to be involved

[How would you define your strength and your weaknesses?]

How you can, you know. incorporate those into a team kind of aspect?

Well, I'm not somebody who konws a lot about marketing 

-> 마케팅에 대해서는 잘 모르지만

 

for a position where you're actually creating the products and thinking through what those features should be.

제품을 직접 만드는 위치에서 어떤 기능을 추가할지 고민하는 것을 좋아하며 

 

i'm fascinated by that.

그런 쪽으로 빠져있습니다. 

 

I've followed the history of the industry 

저희 업계 흐름을 계속해서 지켜봤고

 

read about the mistakes that have been made. 

어떤 실수들이 있었는지에 대한 글도 많이 읽었습니다. 

 

so product definition. product creation. very strong.

따라서 제품의 정의와 제품 생산 쪽으로 매우 강합니다 

 

if you have a team that understands the customers, the sales. the marketing.

만약 제가 합류하는 팀이 고객과 판매, 마케팅 쪽에 대한 이해가 뛰어나다면 

 

i'm not gonna bring that 

그쪽으론 소질이 없지만

 

but i would enjoy working with them

그래도 그 분들과 즐겁게 일 할 수 있습니다. 

[What would be your salary expectations for this job?]

something that you'd be comfortable with? 만족하실 만한 조건이 어떻게 되시나요?

 

You know. I'm able to take risk and i think the company has a great future.

리스크 감수할 각오가 되어 있고, 이 회사의 미래가 매우 밝다고 생각합니다. 

 

so i'd prefer to get stock options even more than cash compensation

현금보다는 스톡옵션을 더 많이 받는 쪽이 좋겠다. 

 

I hear some other companies are paying a lot but treat me fairly and emphasize the options

 

I like the little leverage play there
